Late arrivals

Information about students arriving later than two weeks after the start of the academic year.

The College of Science and Engineering has advised that we need to abide by the regulation guide to late arrivals. Unless permission is granted by College, students must be in Edinburgh to start their courses no more than two weeks after the start of the academic year.

Late arrival due to visa delay (for international students)

The Special Circumstances Committees are not permitted to consider cases submitted due to late arrival following a delay in the issuing of a visa. The only exception would be if the University had issued an incorrect CAS for the student which resulted in the delay. Students are advised that it is their responsibility to ensure that their local visa office has sufficient time to process the documentation.
