Code of Practice

1. Tutors should be approachable, supportive and helpful to all students.
2. Tutors should be respectful towards students.
3. Tutors should be fully engaged for the full teaching period.
4. Marked work should always be returned on time along with some helpful, measured and constructive feedback.
5. Criticise the work or the argument and not the person presenting it.
6. Value all student contributions and find something positive to say about them.
7. Tutors should be prepared.
8. Tutors should carefully read instructions for tutoring and marking and follow them.
9. Tutors should keep to deadlines and procedures set by MTO.
