Events and workshops designed to support you in developing your learning and professional skills
Booking: These events generally open for booking two-three weeks in advance of the shown date. To book a place, please click the link to the 'Event details' and a registration link will be available on the event page. If you do not see a live booking link please check back nearer the event date.
Cancelling: If you need to cancel your booking, please do so at your earliest opportunity and at least 3 days before the event. Someone else may be able to take your place, but we need time to contact them.
How to cancel: You can cancel your booking by emailing us at studentdevelopment@ed.ac.uk. We maintain attendance registers; unexpected absences will be noted.

Once a year we host the Alumni Careers Showcase, an event designed to let current Undergraduate and Taught Masters students hear about our Alumni's experiences in the world of work, the kind of industries they have gone into and how they use what they learned whilst studying with us in their every day. |

Do you find revising challenging? Are you prepared for your exams? This workshop will help you develop strategies to take charge of your revision and perform more confidently in your exams. For all students in the School of Maths. |
Monday, 27 January - Friday, 31 January | 2 | Undergraduate Project & Dissertation Writing Workshops |
In collaboration with the Centre for Open Learning, we host a week of collaborative writing workshops to discuss how to approach writing your dissertation/project. We'll discuss structure, using the marking scheme, writing for a specific audience and much more. For Maths students in Years 4 and 5 only. |
Monday, 17 February - Friday, 21 February | 2 | MSc Flexible Learning Week Challenge | During Flexible Learning Week, we offer the opportunity to learn new transferable skills as well as develop a wide range of skills that you didn’t even know you had! You will do this by engaging with a week-long challenge where the School of Maths partners with Industry to present to you a real-world problem. |
