Effective Revision & Exam Technique Workshops

Do you find revising challenging? Are you prepared for your exams? Are you unsure if what you're doing is effective? This workshop will help you develop strategies to take charge of your revision and perform more confidently in your exams. This workshop will focus on:

  • What works and what doesn’t;
  • Planning your revision and using your time wisely;
  • The power of self testing;
  • Practicing your exam technique and a review of exam strategies;
  • How to cope with exam stress.

Whether you feel you need a lot of support or just want a refresher on how to approach preparing and completing your exams, these workshops are helpful and supportive for all students no matter what stage you are at in your degree programme.

This session is for all Maths students and is designed to be informal, friendly and includes discussion in a supportive atmosphere. You are encouraged to ask questions and raise issues.

These workshops are popular and have a limited capacity, so please make sure that you register early to avoid disappointment. Remember to take a note of which session you sign up for! As always, if you are no longer able to attend the event please contact Student Development at studentdevelopment@maths.ed.ac.uk so other students may be offered the opportunity.
