Alumni Careers Showcase

We are proud to once again hold our Alumni Career Showcase in collaboration with the Careers Service and the University's Development and Alumni team.  A number of our lovely alumni will be returning to speak on their experiences since entering the world of work and how their time at the University of Edinburgh prepared them for their next steps. Listening to both our Undergraduate and Postgraduate presenters last year, it was wonderful to hear about the wealth of roles and unique experiences our alumni have had.

The aim of this event is to enable you to gain an insight into how members of the School’s alumni have navigated their careers after graduation, to benefit from experiences and advice from the alumni community and to learn about some of the different career paths (including further study) open to you after graduation. The event is structured around an alumni panel where students present information about their current roles and how they got there, with a Q&A opportunity at the end. This is followed by an informal networking opportunity for you to meet and chat with both staff and alumni at a drinks reception.

Event Agenda

• 5:50pm - Arrival of student guests
• 6:00pm - Welcome address  
• 6:15pm - Alumni panel session with a Q&A at the end
• 7:30pm - Networking and drinks reception
• 8:30pm - Event close

This year, we will be running our Alumni Careers Showcase on the King's Buildings campus in the Nucleus.

Registration for this event will open at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year.

You must register to attend this event, as we have a limited capacity of spaces available. Please register now to avoid disappointment.

If we reach capacity we will operate a waiting list. If you are no longer able to attend and need to cancel your booking, please do so at your earliest opportunity and at least 3 days before the event where possible. Someone else may be able to take your place, but we need time to contact them.
