University of Edinburgh - Academic Services The School's quality assurance annual report and model The College of Science and Engineering requests the submission of the School's Quality Assurance Annual Report and Model in November of each year. The report is produced by the School's Quality Assurance Officers (academic and administrative) and includes information discussed at the Teaching Committees during the preceding session. Student course feedback to the school At the end of each semester, students are asked to complete University's course enhancement questionnaires for each credit-bearing course on which they are enrolled. The results are then considered by the appropriate Programmes Committee and action taken reported to the relevant Student-Staff Liaison Committee. Course organisers' and lecturers' reports As part of the School's Quality Assurance measures, Course Organisers are responsible for ensuring that the Course Organiser's report and Lecturer reports are completed for the courses for which they are Organiser. The reports may be accessed via course reports The MTO Administrator will remind Course Organisers and Lecturers of the need to complete the electronic reports at the end of each semester. These reports are then considered by the appropriate Programme Committee, which will determine any action to be taken. External Examiners The University appoints External Examiners within each subject discipline who scrutinise aspects of academic delivery and assessment.
