Information about transferring to another degree and senior tutors. Transferring to another degree It can be possible for students to transfer to another degree programme within the School of Maths. Before proceeding with any transfer you should: check that the student has satisfied the requirements for the new degree programme. discuss the transfer with the school's Concessions Officer by contacting the Mathematics Concessions inbox. If the change is to another Mathematics degree (that is one where the first or only subject in the title is Mathematics) then this change can be made on EUCLID by the Personal Tutor. Click on 'Request a Change to Programme details' on the programme/session tab. Transfers within the College of Science & Engineering (CSE) then need to be agreed with the other School. The same applies to transfers to CAHSS (College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences). Below is a list of Senior Tutors and School web pages in the Colleges of Science & Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences. Senior Tutors - Humanities and Social Sciences Advice for PTs with international students International tutees must advise students to contact the Student Immigation Service before asking for a transfer to ensure that the student is fully aware of the visa implications surrounding such changes. Then, for degree transfers within the School of Maths, the PT asks the Concessions Officer to submit an application to College to grant this transfer as concession. Once College and the concessions officer responds positively, the PT may submit the change of degree request in EUCLID. Please be aware that making a change request on euclid does not seek permission from any member of staff it simply enacts the change on the student's record. Send all concessions applications to MathematicsConcessions@ed.ac.uk for review by the Concessions Officer. We are not permitted to give students visa-related advice. The University provides information relating to visas for international students via the Student Immigration Service. Students must consult the Student Immigration Service webpages or visit their offices where staff have full knowledge of current legislation and can provide accurate information.
